The Nigerian-Canadian Business Association, under the auspices of the Deputy High Commission of Canada, was established in 2011 to promote bilateral relationships between Nigeria and Canada and also provide a networking forum for members of the association.
The first in the series held in Lagos provided business leaders, executives and stakeholders the opportunity to share insights on organisational goals, products and services, industry-specific challenges and solutions that could be helpful.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Secretary, NCBA, Karibo Ekeopara explained that the learning series was designed to give participating organisations the opportunity to showcase their solutions to key industry issues.
Aside informing and educating the business community of trade and business opportunities in Nigeria and Canada, it is expected that the series would also engender new business contacts and connections.
This explains why those in attendance today include top management individuals from the target market, and stakeholders in the industries in focus. It is also in this spirit that such companies as WSIAxon, Cranfield Energy Limited, GHI Assets Limited made presentations,” she said.
In an earlier speech, the keynote speaker, Managing Director, WSIAxon, Mr. Edirin Abamwa shared insights on the secrets of digital marketing and its potentials for businesses.
In his paper titled, “Digital Marketing for Corporate Companies: What you should know as a decision maker,” Abamwa stressed the need for engagement with customers as a critical element of digital marketing as opposed to just having Internet presence.
